In light of a recent article published by Oregon Public Broadcasting, we at Newport Oregon Pride are appalled and disgusted by the hateful words and actions of our mayor not only against the queer community - in particular our trans community members - but against women, people of color, and immigrants.

The LGBTQIA2S+ community deserves and expects better from the Mayor of Newport Oregon. This disturbing behavior normalizes hatred and incites violence against the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our society and should not be tolerated.

Please join us for a community gathering on the Transgender Day of Remembrance hosted by our friends at Project Bravery and PFLAG.

When: November 20th from 6pm - 10pm

Where: 324 SW 7th St, Newport, OR
